Popular Mediterranean Restaurant Chain Saona Plans Benidorm Opening Before End of Year

A popular Spanish restaurant chain is planning to open in Benidorm before the end of 2026, bringing its Mediterranean-style dining concept to the resort.

Saona has confirmed plans for a Benidorm opening during the final four months of 2026, as part of an expansion programme that will see the restaurant group continue to grow across Spain.

The company already operates more than 70 restaurants across the country and is known for its Mediterranean-inspired food and relaxed restaurant settings.

The planned Benidorm opening is part of a wider expansion that also includes new locations in cities including A Coruña and Valencia.

For Benidorm, the arrival of Saona would add another recognisable Spanish restaurant brand to the resort's already extensive food and drink scene.

The company has been expanding through its franchise model, with several new locations scheduled during 2026.

Saona's restaurants typically focus on Mediterranean cuisine and a casual dining experience, making the brand particularly suited to a tourist destination such as Benidorm.

However, the company has not yet announced the exact Benidorm location or opening date, so visitors should not expect the new restaurant to be open just yet.

The planned arrival comes as Benidorm continues to attract new hospitality businesses aimed at both tourists and residents, with new cafés, restaurants and hotel food-and-drink concepts appearing across the resort.

If the current timetable is maintained, Saona could become one of the more notable new restaurant arrivals in Benidorm before the end of the year.
