A mystery boat has been discovered abandoned at Cala del Tío Ximo in Benidorm, prompting a police investigation into how it arrived at the popular coastal spot.

Boat found at popular Benidorm cove
Cala del Tío Ximo is located on Benidorm's eastern coastline, close to Levante Beach and the Serra Gelada natural area.
The secluded cove is popular with tourists and residents, particularly for swimming, snorkelling and enjoying the quieter side of Benidorm.

The discovery of the empty boat prompted Local Police to investigate whether those aboard had managed to reach land.
At the time of the report, there were no occupants on the boat.
Investigation continues
Police have not publicly confirmed who was aboard the vessel or exactly where it came from.
There has also been no confirmed information about whether anyone was injured or required medical assistance.
The investigation is continuing as officers work to establish the circumstances surrounding the boat's arrival at the Benidorm coastline.
Cala del Tío Ximo is around 3.5 kilometres from Benidorm's marina and is accessible by road and on foot. The cove is known for its rocky seabed and is a popular location for snorkelling and diving.
