Four Arrested After Benidorm Cocaine Operation Uncovers More Than 1kg of Drugs

Police seize suspected cocaine, three vehicles and drug-preparation equipment following searches in L’Alfàs del Pi and La Nucía.
Four people have been arrested following a National Police investigation into suspected cocaine trafficking in Benidorm and the wider Marina Baixa area.
The operation led to the seizure of more than one kilogram of suspected cocaine, along with three vehicles, two mobile phones and equipment allegedly used to weigh and prepare drugs for distribution.
The investigation began after police received information from local residents about a man suspected of selling cocaine in the area.
According to police, the suspect allegedly used different vehicles to make deliveries, arranging transactions in advance through telephone calls and messaging applications.
Police uncover suspected drug properties
Following surveillance, investigators identified two properties in L’Alfàs del Pi and La Nucía which they believed were being used to store, prepare and distribute the drugs.
The investigation reached a turning point when officers followed the main suspect to a car park, where they allegedly witnessed a suspected drug transaction.
Police intervened after observing activity involving a backpack at the boot of a vehicle.
Officers subsequently discovered a package containing more than one kilogram of cocaine inside the backpack, according to the police account.
The discovery led to the arrest of four people - two men and two women aged between 39 and 47 — on suspicion of drug trafficking.
Searches lead to further seizures
Officers then carried out searches at the two properties in L’Alfàs del Pi and La Nucía.
During the searches, police seized equipment allegedly used to weigh and prepare drugs, as well as three vehicles and two mobile phones.
