Halloween is arriving in Benidorm this weekend, with theme parks and attractions transforming for a month of scares, shows and spooky entertainment.

October is bringing a very different atmosphere to the resort, with several of Benidorm's major attractions introducing Halloween-themed experiences.

One of the biggest new additions this year is at Aqua Natura.

The water park is launching “La Última Luz”, its first dedicated horror passage, offering visitors the chance to enter the attraction after dark and experience a completely different side of the park.

The horror experience will run on Saturdays throughout October, with a roughly 15-minute experience designed for visitors looking for something more frightening than a normal day out.

Tickets are being advertised from €10, with some passes available from €8 depending on the option selected.

Meanwhile, Terra Mítica is also getting into the Halloween spirit.

The theme park's Halloween programme begins Saturday, October 3, and runs through November 1.

Visitors can expect themed decoration, characters, shows and horror experiences alongside the park's usual rides.

The park is also introducing Horror Nights, with special evening sessions planned on October 3, 10, 17 and 24.

For families, there are other Halloween options around Benidorm.

Mundomar is introducing a Halloween Pirate theme from October 3, while Terra Natura will once again host its family-friendly Holiween celebrations, combining Halloween with music, colour and entertainment.

The Magic Robin Hood resort is also getting a Halloween makeover, with themed activities running from October 2 through November 1.

For British holidaymakers, the timing could hardly be better.

The Halloween events provide something different to do during October, particularly for visitors who have already spent time on Benidorm's beaches and are looking for an evening attraction or family day out.

And with Halloween itself still almost a month away, the resort's spooky season is only just getting started.

The biggest night will come on October 31, when Benidorm's bars, clubs and attractions are expected to join in with their own Halloween celebrations.

For anyone visiting Benidorm during October, this year's programme offers everything from family-friendly activities to full-on horror experiences.
